Military’s first stealth ship United States, Sea Shadow, has been included in the auction list to be ready for sale.

Stealth ship, Sea Shadow, made in experimental and highly classified for the U.S. Navy in 1980, the manufacturing cost around U.S. $ 190 million.

    Unfortunately, the ship and the Hanger were sold in April of this year (2012) to a company in the Bay Area. The ship and Hanger were auctioned off as a unit, but the main item was the Hanger. The Navy requirement for the sale was for the ship to be dismantled. I wish the Navy had thought of a third alternative such as re-fitting the Sea Shadow for Civilian use. Since, the ship has a rather unexpected stable design regardless of the weather conditions, it could have been used by research organizations like Woods Hole, Monterary Bay Aquarium, California Acadamy of Sciences, the USGS, etc. <<>> as a tourest vessel . . .
